The Senior Center is open weekdays - 8:00am to 6:30pm and Saturdays from 8am-12noon


The Senior Center of Sidney-Shelby County was established in 1997 and is located in the Cameo Theater, 304 West Avenue; one block south and one block west of the courthouse square in Sidney. The Center was created as a permanent home for the Sidney - Shelby County Senior Citizens Organization. 

Mission Statement

The Mission of the Senior Center of Sidney-Shelby County is to serve as a community focal point for programs and services promoting the wellbeing of older adults in the Sidney-Shelby County area.

Vision Statement

The Vision of the Senior Center of Sidney-Shelby County is to provide older adults with caring and quality services towards the continued enhancement of health, education, recreation and socialization.



 
Our Services:

  • Card games, quilting, puzzles, Wii, billiards, ping pong, shuffleboard
  • Knitting and Crocheting Classes
  • Aqua Aerobics

  • Senior Center Singers (choir)
  • Blood Drives
  • OSHIIP
  • Free income tax preparation by AARP volunteers

Scheduled Daily Activities include:

Monday: Shuffleboard, Bingo, Texas Hold ‘Em, Chair Yoga, Quilting, Billiards
Tuesday: Chair Exercise, Move-n-Groove, Euchre & Practice Bridge
Wednesday: Wii, Pinochle, & Billiards. Knitting & Crocheting, Chair Volleyball
Thursday: Chair Exercise, Move-n-Groove Shuffleboard, Evening Euchre, Quilting, & Texas Hold ‘Em
Friday: Billiards, Chair Yoga, Euchre, Bridge
Saturday: Chair Volleyball, Exercise Room Open
